In-Line Continuous Applications

In-line continuous applications are those in which the product is flowing in a continuous, uninterrupted path at operating speed. Typically these are wire, strip, rod, tube, cable and similar types of products. Products can be single lines or multiple lines through a single system.

Power Sonics personnel developed ultrasonic products to do this application over 25 years ago and have the longest experience in cleaning such products and applications with ultrasound. A unique product, the radial transducer, cleans with 360 degree exposure to the part providing the fastest, most even cleaning available. Systems can be a simple wash or more sophisticated wash, rinse, dry systems with filtration, sprays and other ancillary equipment. Typical applications include:

Remove drawing compounds prior to plating or coating operations
Clean wire at speeds to 1500 fpm and faster
Clean copper and aluminum strip prior to forming and welding
Clean wire and rod during forming operations
Remove compounds from bar stock
Clean refrigeration tubing
Remove lubricants from alloy wire
Remover lubricants and dirt prior to annealing
Clean formed copper rod and wire prior to coating
Mix liquids both aqueous and non-aqueous
Enhance chemical properties of liquids
